IT Specialist (INFOSEC) - Incident Handling

As an IT Specialist with US-CERT, you'll be responsible for monitoring, detecting, mitigating, and coordinating incident response activities to cyber attacks across the nation. In addition, you'll aid in protecting the United States critical infrastructure for federal, state, local and tribal entities. The incumbent will be a member of a 24x7x365 days a year strategic analysis team.

IT Specialist (INFOSEC) - Cyber Security Analyst

As a cyber security analyst, you'll serve as the primary technical point of contact for cyber incident, malicious code, and network analysis. This group maintains a 24x7x365 capability that analyzes incidents across the federal government, conducts strategic analysis of traffic that transverses the Internet, and warns the federal government and critical infrastructures of impending threats. This unit identifies significant threats to the critical infrastructure, and disseminates and coordinates countermeasures to these threats in a timely manner. The incumbent will be part of a 24x7x365 strategic analysis team.

Supervisory IT Specialist (INFOSEC) - Cyber Analyst/Liaison

The incumbent represents US-CERT and the National Cyber Security Division (NCSD) to all DHS and government intelligence, counter-intelligence, and law enforcement organizations involved in computer network defense. They will also coordinate with key civilian industries involved in the technologies, operations, and investigations to defend the nation's critical infrastructure, with a specific emphasis on the classified systems, information, and networks. The incumbent will also coordinate information sharing efforts across intelligence partners in federal, state, local, and tribal entities.

IT Specialist (INFOSEC) - Sr. IT Engineer/Architecture

This position requires the development of policies, guidelines, and standards for the evaluation, planning, integration, and implementation of information technology (IT) systems that meet overall information needs of multiple major organizational units. Additionally, the position requires the incumbent to analyze statutory requirements against existing directives to assess compliance needs. Analysis of feasibility studies, proposals, and forecasting trends for future needs will also be conducted regularly. Finally, the incumbent must keep abreast of changing and emerging technology and make recommendations on adopting said changes.
