The ICSJWG Conference will consist of panel discussions, presentations, training, and working group meetings on various topics such as emerging technologies, standards development, threat and incident reporting, analysis tools and techniques, roadmap development initiatives, workforce development and certification, vulnerability management, research and development, information sharing, and international coordination.
An 8-hour Introduction to Industrial Control Systems Cybersecurity will be offered on Thursday April 8 at the conference at no cost.
There is no cost to attend the ICSJWG conference and training.
Who should attend?
The ICSJWG Conference is open to all who are interested in learning more about cyber security issues facing critical infrastructure control systems. The ICSJWG Conference is an excellent resource for government professionals (federal, state, local, tribal, and international), control systems vendors and systems integrators, research and development and academic professionals, and owners and operators (management, engineering, production, IT, etc) to interface with cyber security peers and stay abreast with the latest initiatives impacting security for industrial control systems.
Training
The training is a fast-paced course covering control systems cyber security challenges. The training objectives include helping participants understand the importance of securing control systems, how attacks against control systems can be launched, and providing mitigation strategies. Participants will gain an understanding of how to improve the cyber security posture of their control system networks. Specific topics will include:
- The importance of protecting control systems from cyber attacks and why they are susceptible
- Understanding the risks and potential consequences of attacks
- Understanding common vulnerabilities in industrial control systems
- Discussion of system exposures to attacks, various attack scenarios, and associate mitigation strategies
- Control Systems Security Program products and services that are available to asset owners.
Agenda
The ICSJWG meetings will begin at 8:00 am on Tuesday, April 6th, and run through Wednesday, April 7th. An 8-hour Introduction to Industrial Control Systems Cybersecurity will be offered on Thursday April 8. The Agenda is currently under construction but will be posted soon.
